WHAT IT DOES
Have you noticed that, when you open the control panel, all of the files are in order except for the fact that the General screen is first? If you have another file you use more often (such as our own QuicKeys™ or FolderShare™), this lets you tell the control panel to put THAT screen first instead.
INSTALLING ChooseCDEV
ChooseCDEV is very easy to install, just copy it to your system folder. You don't even have to reboot to use ChooseCDEV.
USING ChooseCDEV
When you open the control panel and click on the ChooseCDEV icon, all of your control panel files will be listed on the screen. Click on the file you want, close the control panel, and reopen it. Your choice should now be in the first location.
THE LEGAL STUFF
ChooseCDEV is freeware. You do not owe any license fee for it, you may give unmodified copies to others, but you may NOT sell it.
Why are we giving this product away? Unfortunately, one of the side effects of CE Software's growth is that we can no longer make any money selling small utilities like this. Rather than hoard this utility (hoping that somehow, someday it'll start producing money), we've decided to turn it into an advertisement. Click on the about box to see what's happening with our company. The pictures do make this program much larger than it otherwise would be, and so you do have our permission to remove the PICT resources with ResEdit from copies you'll be using. However, you may NOT give out copies with the pictures removed. Please make sure the pictures remain intact, it'll encourage us to do this again.
